The Campus: Towers & Institutes

Medanta is one of India's largest multi-super-specialty institutes, founded by Dr. Naresh Trehan, spread across 43 acres with 1,250+ beds. The scale is the main navigation challenge — specialized institutes (Heart, Cancer, Neuro, Liver) sit inside a multi-tower layout:

• Hospital Tower A — main hospital block with the ground-floor atrium registration and central MRD on the lower ground floor.
• Hospital Tower B — additional inpatient and specialty institutes.
• Clinic Block — outpatient consultation clinics with its own registration and dedicated elevators.

The towers connect through internal corridors, but distances are real — check your doctor's specific tower on the appointment confirmation before entering. The Clinic Tower's dedicated elevators save meaningful walking for elderly patients.

Registration & Check-In

Registration happens at the ground-floor atrium desks and digital token kiosks in Hospital Tower A and the Clinic Block. Carry Aadhaar and any previous Medanta patient ID. For pre-booked appointments, the digital kiosks are the faster route.

For planned admissions, the insurance pre-authorization and TPA desks are a separate queue — budget extra time there.

OPD Timings & Wait Expectations

OPD timings are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday. Medanta operates on an appointment system, so waits are usually manageable — but the campus scale means total visit time is driven as much by inter-tower walking and lift waits as by the consultation queue itself.

For elderly patients or those with mobility issues, plan buffer time for transit between the entrance, tower lobbies, and diagnostic floors.

Metro, Parking & Access

• Metro — Millennium City Centre Gurugram (Yellow Line), about 5 km — covered by auto or cab. Subhash Chowk on Sohna Road is an alternative landmark.

MRD & Report Collection

The central Medical Records Department and Lab Medicine Archive are in Tower A, Lower Ground Floor. For records on a patient's behalf, carry a signed authorization letter, the patient's ID, and the collector's own ID — see the authorization letter guide for the accepted format.

• Manage waiting time through multi-department visit days (consultation → diagnostics → pharmacy).
• Coordinate at the TPA/insurance desk for cashless approvals.
• Collect MRD documents and lab archives from Tower A Lower Ground.
