Important: the maternity companion is a non-medical attendant — not a nurse, midwife, doula, or lactation consultant. Labour-room presence is subject to each hospital's attendant policy. For overnight ward attendance, combine with our Overnight Stay service.

What we do not do
- Any clinical or nursing care — vitals monitoring, injections, IV management, medication administration, wound or suture care
- Lactation consultancy, breastfeeding technique guidance, or any form of medical advice
- Clinical newborn or neonatal care — all baby care requiring medical training stays with hospital staff
- Doula or midwife role — no clinical involvement in labour or delivery; labour-room presence is subject to each hospital's attendant policy
- Signing hospital consent forms or medico-legal documents on the family's behalf
- Transport and driving costs (companion accompanies but does not drive)
- Emergency medical services — for emergencies, hospital staff or 112 must be called
