NRI checklist for parents hospital visit
Important: Please Read Before Booking

Corelatin companions are trained support personnel, not licensed medical professionals. They do not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, administer medication, or perform clinical procedures.

No Hospital Affiliation
Corelatin is an independent service — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any hospital or medical institution.

Non-Medical Service
Our companions provide non-medical support only — queue management, navigation, paperwork, wheelchair assistance, and family updates.

No Emergency Services
We do not provide emergency medical services. For emergencies, call 112 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.

By booking, you acknowledge and accept these limitations. Read our Terms & Refund Policy.

A well-prepared hospital visit saves your parents hours of stress and ensures the doctor has everything needed for an accurate consultation. If you are an NRI coordinating from the USA, UK, or UAE, use this checklist before every visit.

1. Documents to Carry

  • Aadhaar card (mandatory for government hospital registration)
  • Health insurance / CGHS / ECHS card (if applicable)
  • Previous prescriptions (last 3–6 months)
  • Recent lab reports (blood work, scans, ECG)
  • Discharge summary (if recently hospitalized)
  • List of current medications with dosages

Store scanned copies in a shared Google Drive or WhatsApp folder so both you and the Corelatin companion can access them during the visit.

2. Book the Appointment in Advance

For private hospitals (Apollo, Max, Fortis, Medanta), book online or by phone 3–7 days in advance. For government hospitals like AIIMS, check whether online appointment booking is available for the specific department. Read our AIIMS OPD queue guide for token strategies.

3. Book a Verified Companion

If you cannot be there, book a Corelatin companion at least 24 hours before the visit. The companion will: pick up your parents from home, manage hospital queues, wheel them through counters, patch you into the doctor consultation via WhatsApp, scan all prescriptions and bills, and safely drop them back home. Book a companion here.

4. Arrange Payment

Confirm how the hospital bill will be paid: cashless insurance, parents' UPI, or your international card. For companion fees, Corelatin accepts international cards and Stripe so you can pay directly from abroad. Read our payment guide.

5. Prepare a Doctor Question List

Write down your questions in a WhatsApp message to the companion before the visit. During the consultation, the companion will relay each question and you can listen live. Cover: diagnosis clarity, medication changes, next steps, follow-up timeline, and red-flag symptoms to watch for.

6. Post-Visit Follow-Up

  • Confirm whether lab tests are needed — book a diagnostic companion if required.
  • Schedule a follow-up appointment before leaving the hospital.
  • If reports are available days later, book Document Collection to have them picked up and couriered to you.
  • Update the shared medication list with any new prescriptions.
You're Ready

With documents organized, a companion booked, and payment arranged, your parents' hospital visit will be smooth, stress-free, and fully updated to you in real time.
